Local newspaper is a free publication built on the passion and creativity of community journalism, reaching homes and businesses across the western suburbs.

Featuring stories, articles, events and more, it generates a cycle of awareness, engagement, interaction and participation.

The Westsider was relaunched with the support of Inner West Community Enterprises in February 2017 as a monthly newspaper providing a local voice.

Founded in 2014 as a government funded work-for-dole project, it is now considered part of the community fabric.

When government funding ceased, the paper continued to be a free media resource thanks to the support of Inner West Community Enterprises and local businesses.

The Westsider is available from local cafes, restaurants, bars, libraries, community centres, council offices, university campuses, supermarkets, health and wellness centres.
