Seddon Boomerang Bags Sewing Bee

May 16 @ 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Boomerang Bags works to reduce the use of plastic bags by engaging local communities in the making of Boomerang Bags. All Boomerang Bags are made by volunteers using donated upcycled materials. Boomerang Bags provide a free, fun, sustainable alternative to plastic bags.

By getting involved, you are participating in a global movement, celebrating a grassroots initiative focusing on community building and sustainability

Sewers and non-sewers – all are welcome! we’ll need help with lots of things like tracing patterns, cutting fabric, ironing, stamping, pinning, sewing, eating cake and drinking tea… – whatever you’re comfortable with. No experience needed. From ninja sewers to crafter-wanna-be, everyone is welcome. (except, unfortunately, we can’t have kids with us at sewing bees)

If you can’t make it and still want to get involved – we’ll be making up take-home-to-sew kits and also happily take donations of fabric, linen, table clothes, etc.. it all works for Boomerang Bags 🙂
