Each year our branch welcomes the local CWA Footscray Produce Stall. It’s a popular event with our customers who love to stock up on homemade supplies of jam, chutneys, sauces, marmalades and pickles in time for Christmas. All funds raised by the stall go directly to the CWA Footscray who choose a local charity to support, with a focus on organisations that support children, women and families.
Even better for our team, we are often the recipients of a delivery of fresh scones during the campaign – definitely a highlight for the team, they often don’t last past lunchtime!
Thanks to Janece, Michelle and the CWA Footscray members for keeping the shelf stocked and supplying the team with fresh scones. And thanks also to Michelle for supplying the Country Women’s Association scone recipe below – arguably the best and simplest recipe. Let’s see how you go!
