Spent the afternoon visiting the Rotary supported Donations in Kind (DIK) warehouse in West Footscray with Colleen and Bronwyn, and the scale of what their volunteers achieve is genuinely inspiring.

This is the circular economy at its best! Instead of usable equipment heading to landfill, DIK collects, inspects, and redistributes essential goods to communities in need—both locally across Victoria and internationally across more than 30 developing countries. To date, they have dispatched over 740 shipping containers loaded with life-changing supplies, from hospital beds and mobility equipment to desks and stationery for remote schools.

Seeing the warehouse team in action alongside Colleen and Bronwyn was a powerful reminder of how much impact a dedicated group of volunteers and smart resource-sharing can have.
