As described by our Chair, Sarah Franklyn, “it is always one of the highlights of my year”. Our team always walk away smiling, a privileged to meet such vibrant and enthusiastic young people, ready to get out into the world and make a difference – such an inspiration to us all.
Thanks to her dedication to her studies, showing great leadership and engaging positively with peers and staff, Gabby was a successful recipient of one of our scholarships for 2026. Her efforts have been further rewarded as she has been accepted into a Bachelor of Radiation Therapy, studying at RMIT University this year.
“I’m most excited about starting my journey in healthcare and developing the skills needed to make a real difference in patients lives,” she said. “The sponsorship funds will help ease the financial pressure of starting university, including purchasing textbooks, equipment, and covering travel expenses, allowing me to focus fully on my studies.”
Ben’s scholarship acknowledged his hard work, diligence and dedication to his studies, excelling in Maths and Science subjects, the recipient of multiple awards for his academic achievement. He will be undertaking is the Bachelor of Science at the University of Melbourne.
While expressing a little anxiousness, Ben also described his upcoming experience as being “most excited about the new learning structure which will feel refreshing from the high school education system. Particularly being in more control of my own learning which entails self-accountability and my exploration of the new University life.”
His gratitude extended to the scholarship funds which will “help me purchase a new bike so I can commute to and from university every day. It will also alleviate financial stress in regards to textbooks and stationery required for specific classes at university.”
