Louise is a Brit based in Yarraville, and exploring Australia’s nature and landscapes is her greatest inspiration. With a background in textile design for the fashion industry, she has always had a love affair with colour and texture.
She paints in the moments between the madness of family life and, when she can face the cleaning up, encourages her girls to join in. Driven by colour and inspired by adventure, her work reflects the rich tones and organic forms of the natural world.
Her creative process is intuitive, beginning with vibrant bursts of colour, scribbles, and washes that form the backdrop before refining the final composition. Working in mixed media, Louise often incorporates her own hand-drawn leaves, flowers, and painted elements into her collages, building layers of contrast and exploring new perspectives. For her, collage offers the freedom to deconstruct and reassemble, allowing endless possibilities for creative expression.
Come and experience the vibrancy and texture of the original pieces in person at at branch from Wednesday 8th April until Tuesday 2nd June 2026.
