It’s modern day philanthropy at its best, flipping traditional community investment on its head – it’s not a hand out it’s a hand up.
The premise is simple. Local community groups and clubs have three minutes on stage to pitch and persuade local businesses – Community Pitch Partners – to make a financial contribution to their organisation, program or project at a gala event sponsored by Seddon Community Bank Branch.
Developed by Inner West Community Enterprises, and now supported by other Bendigo Bank Community Bank Companies around the country, the Community Pitch takes a collaborative, partner-based approach to build community prosperity.
It’s about so much more than just money. While the event has raised over $80,000 in five years, it’s a welcome opportunity to bring people together, sharing real stories from real people, and building strong community partnerships is just half the fun.
