Legally Blonde – The Musical was 2019 production from the Footscray City College’s musical performance group.

Once again, the the cast’s performance was outstanding and all six shows were sold out! And while last year the cast raised funds for new microphones, this year it was the behind the scenes crew that received some extra technical support with an iPad purchased to assist with stage lighting.

Apart from fundraising, one of the major aims of Community Pitch is connecting the community. By participating in the Pitch, the students not only learn about the arduous task of fundraising for their Arts program, they also have the opportunity to learn about other community programs in their community.

As such, the Year 11 Theatre Studies decided to donate the funds raised from their recent theatre performances to West Footscray Neighbourhood House’s Single Mum’s Playgroup. A couple of the students visited the playgroup to meet the mums and bubs who were thrilled with the acknowledgment and plan to organise a morning tea or maybe even some massages!
