Royal Melbourne Philharmonic presents its ever popular “Carols in the Cathedral” – Melbourne’s premier concerts of traditional Christmas music, carols and readings in the stunning setting of St Paul’s Cathedral.

A magnificent feast of spectacular fanfares and carols, and glorious Christmas music and verse, performed by massed choirs, soloists, instrumentalists from the RMP Orchestra and majestic brass and percussion.

This year music will include the world premiere performance of a new work by Calvin Bowman, and a feast works by composers from around the world, including ever-popular classics such as “O Come All Ye Faithful”, “Once in Royal David’s City”, “Hark the Herald Angels Sing”, “Joy to the World”, “Silent Night” and many more!

Other highlights this year include works by Dan Forrest, Donald Fraser, Eric Whitacre, Herbert Howells, Sally DeFord, William G. James, Trevor Manor and Benjamin Britten.
