Hobsons Bay City Council has launched a new program to help local business people explore new networking opportunities with other business operators in the area.
Discover Your Own Backyard Coffee Connect business networking series will take place on the first Wednesday of every month for a networking and knowledge sharing session.
Mayor of Hobsons Bay Councillor Angela Altair said the new program is a great opportunity for business owners to promote their business, share ideas and meet other local professionals from a range of different industries.
“Business support and engagement is a key priority for us as part of Council’s Economic Development Strategy,” said Cr Altair
“Creating networking programs like Coffee Connect is just one of the ways Council works collaboratively with local businesses, industry and other stakeholders to strengthen and grow our local economy.
“We are always looking at new ways to encourage interaction and collaboration between new and existing businesses.
“Every month Coffee Connect will choose a different host location which helps Council promote our local cafes, while also inviting professionals to experience some of the many fabulous cafes and hospitality venues in Hobsons Bay,” said Cr Altair.
Attendance at the networking sessions is free of charge but bookings are required as places are limited.
Interested business professionals are advised to book early to avoid disappointment and don’t forget to bring your business cards
