Back by Popular Demand! FCAC’s sold-out Pop Art Happy Hour on Keith Haring, returns to the centre, in-person! Artist and teacher Jessica Ibacache leads students through a special art history lesson, embedded in the act of painting a piece yourself.
Keith Haring’s work was synonymous with the 1980’s New York arts scene. Adorned with bold colours and energetic lines, his iconic pop art and graffiti pieces were not only striking, they also often addressed political and social issues of the times. Run my artist and tutor Jessica Ibacache, in this workshop you’ll create a replica of one of Haring’s celebrated pop art pieces, while learning about the artist’s world.
For this event, you will be supplied with all art materials, wine and nibbles – just bring yourself!
