Learn electronic music for free from Melbourne\’s most exciting artists – DJ’ing, production, sound engineering, synths + beatmaking, Ableton Live, soldering + electronics, and more!
Including opportunities to collaborate and perform live.
This year long program will take place every Thursday 4-6pm in 2019 during school terms.
FEB WORKSHOPS: INTRO TO SOUND
7/2: DIY MIDI controllers with Bridget Mary Chappell
14/2: Pedals & effects with Jonnine Nokes
21/2: Beatmaking with Neil Cabatingan
28/2: Vinyl DJing with Katie Pearson
No previous knowledge of music or electronics necessary! 🙂
Training is delivered by Melbourne Sound School, an award-winning community school delivering electronic music workshops that celebrate and upskill emerging artists on the margins. Check them out at www.melbournesoundschool.org
This event is part of a FReeZA Training program by Maribyrnong Youth Services.
For people aged 12 – 25 in the West. All welcome with special encouragement to young people of colour, women and girls, LGBTIQA+ young people, and young people with disabilities.
