Event Details

Be part of an afternoon exploring one of Melbourne’s most beautiful historic sites, Werribee Park, with Melbourne Food & Wine Festival as your host.
– Joseph’s Restaurant and Bar
– The Refectory Parlour
– Shadowfax Wines
DETAILS:
The Crawl starts at Joseph’s Restaurant & Bar. It’s a venue famed for its Sunday high tea, and it’s from this signature that inspiration has been drawn for the savoury delicacies we’ll be enjoying. Joseph’s is part of the Lancemore Mansion Hotel Werribee Park, ranked one of the top 25 hotels in Australia by TripAdvisor, and if you’d like to make a weekend of it, accommodation is available.
Back on the Crawl the next stop is the newest offering at the precinct, The Refectory Parlour. A garden-style cafe and wine bar set within a heritage building and gardens, this new venue offers indoor and outdoor dining, a cake counter, and gourmet picnic hampers. For our visit chef Sara O’Callaghan promises a meal packed with Victorian produce.
The final stop on the Crawl is Shadowfax Wines. Dedicated to creating high quality, handcrafted wines, Shadowfax produces chardonnay, pinot gris and pinot noir from its high-altitude Little Hampton vineyard in the Macedon Ranges as well as a range of Minnow wines from its Werribee vineyard. Savour views of the vineyard as the winemaker leads a tasting of the estate’s wines.
Want to make an afternoon (or a day) of it? Werribee Park Precinct is also home to the Victoria State Rose Garden and Werribee Open Range Zoo. Come early for the full experience.
