A range of free workshops and presentations will be hosted throughout the afternoon (bookings required – https://www.eventbrite.com.au/o/world-environment-day-2019-8455893798). This includes presentations from Vasili Kanidiadis – host of Network 7’s Vasili’s Garden; Rod Quantock – environmental activist and stand-up comedian; and Erin Rhoads- author of The Rogue Ginger and eco activist.

You can also find out more about local environmental groups and businesses by visiting the stalls at Logan Reserve. An Environmental Arts Hub at the Louis Joel Arts and Community Centre will feature exhibitions and art activities and the Altona Senior Citizen’s Club carpark will be transformed into a Sustainable Transport Hub, where you can participate in bike maintenance sessions and see one of Australia’s first hydrogen cars. There will be children’s activities throughout the day, including roving performers, the SES interactive emergency vehicle and environmental theatre performances.
