On Wednesday 13 November, Local Impact and Community Bank Seddon presented the Gather for Good Event at Footscray Community Arts.
The room was full or do-ers, ideas, local leaders in social enterprise, sharing lived experience, resources, the highs, the lows and the importance of storytelling and building your network to learn, grow and succeed.
“The whole session was fabulous! Everyone clearly knows their stuff and is passionate about their endeavours. Speakers were great, stuck to time and made a whole lot of sense,” said a happy participant.
Local Impact shared how they offer a wrap-around service of support and are able to connect social enterprises with the right people, ‘doing good’ in our thriving inner-west community.
The MC Sarah Franklyn, Chair of the Board of the Community Bank Seddon, said it perfectly at the Gather for Good Event, “Social Enterprise is the way forward, it’s where social change is going to happen!” But it takes all 4 sectors to
come together to make that change. The incubators, impact funders, enables & social enterprises to build connection and collaboration. Local Impact is a supportive incubator.
Speakers included Marnie Baker – former CEO Bendigo & Adelaide Bank, Sarah Franklyn, Andy Moutray-Read – CEO of Local Impact, Sally Quinn of Green Collect and Jen Riley of Our Community
Thank you to all who joined us, including our guest speakers listed below and special guest Dr Daniel Mulino MP. We hope everyone walked away with new connections and energised to do good in the social enterprise space.
