“The walks sold out in just a couple of days which was really pleasing, and the enthusiasm and interest we’ve had in the exhibition has been overwhelming. It’s great that the local community, people of all ages, are so interested in the stories and rich history of Seddon, ” said Branch Community Engagement Manager, Suzanne Saunders. “We look forward to doing more work with the Seddon VillageTraders Association and Footscray Historical Society in this area soon.”
“One of the greatest points of interest has been the trams which ran through Seddon, along Buckley, Victoria, Charles & Gamon Sts from 1918 – 1962. We look forward to doing more work with the Seddon VillageTraders Association and Footscray Historical Society in this area soon.”
The exhibition at the branch has been extended to run until the middle of June. The community is welcome to visit any time Monday – Friday, 9.30am – 4.00pm.
