Ash & Suzanne were recently invited to the Local Impact Leadership Lunch joining twenty three local leaders joined us from eighteen different organisations representing Government, social enterprise, the arts, sports, business and community.
The Local Impact team has been consulting the community partners for several months, asking questions and getting to know what our community neighbours need.
Having heard many opinions on how local issues should be addressed, they brought this information to fellow members of the social enterprise sector at the Leaders’ Lunch in November.
Local Impact shared key insights and themes with the group, following four months of conversation with 30+ organisations and close to 100 people in our community about how we can more meaningfully connect, educate and support each other.
Participants had the opportunity to discuss these insights that we played back to the group and contribute more of their own ideas. This was followed by a delicious lunch catered by the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre.
The energy was high throughout where many wonderful conversations were sparked and new connections were made. We look forward to an even more driven, engaged western suburbs community in the new year to come.
