Event Details

Earth and Space Science topics and ideas for activities and STEM projects to implement in the classroom.

Teachers will explore science concepts, activities and project ideas related to the Science (Earth and Space Sciences) and STEM Learning areas of the Victorian Curriculum. Concepts will include, Moon phases, seasons on Earth and eclipses.

Teachers will engage in a number of hands-on activities and challenges. The day will include viewing our newest Planetarium show, Moonbase ONE. Moonbase ONE offers the opportunity to overcome common misconceptions and see the Moon as part of our culture, our history and our scientific endeavour.

9.30am–11am: Session 1
11am–11.30am: Morning tea
11.30am–1pm: Session 2
1pm–2pm: Lunch and exhibit exploration
2pm–3.30pm: Session 3 includes viewing Moonbase ONE

Morning tea provided, BYO Lunch. Food and drinks are also available for purchase from Scienceworks café, open from 10am.
There will be limited spaces for this event.
This session is suitable for Primary and Secondary teachers (who teach Year 5-8).

Cancellation policy
Cancellations within 2 weeks of the event without a medical certificate will not be refunded. Scienceworks reserves the right to cancel the event if minimum numbers are not met and a full refund will be issued.
