Event Details

Advance your life drawing skills with a two-hour tutored session each week. In these sessions you will improve your life drawing skills with an emphasis on anatomy and gesture.

Led by respected artist and teacher Darien Pullen, you will develop an understanding of capturing the subtle nuances of the human body. As models move into different poses, you will improve your observational skills while working with charcoal. Materials are supplied.

With a variety of models and a range of different length poses, students can develop an understanding of human form and learn how to describe it. Advanced students can refine their observational and descriptive skills with an emphasis on the specifics of a pose and on human anatomy. An opportunity will be provided to explore different systems of rendering, and longer poses to further develop these.

Secondary or tertiary students can use these classes to gain more life drawing experience, or to further enhance or increase a folio. Students are encouraged to use charcoal, which is supplied, but may use any other drawing medium.
