The NGV’s latest Friday Nights series is inspired by the gallery’s summer blockbuster exhibition, which celebrates the ’80s underground pop-art scene and the work of two of the most influential artists of the late 20th century, Keith Haring and Jean-Michel Basquiat. The post-Christmas pre-New Years slump doesn’t stop this series, on the 27th they’re celebrating pop waves. You can wander the exhibition after dark with DJs Spunkgunk and Banoffee soundtracking the night and take in illuminating talks.
